Press release, Hanover, 24 February 2005 Deutsche Hypo achieves record issue volume in the 2004 financial year Deutsche Hypothekenbank (Actien-Gesellschaft) was able to record a record result for the 2004 financial year with an issue volume totalling € 13 bn. Of this total volume, the debt issuance programme, which has been very successful since its launch in January 2004, accounted for around € 6 bn. This programme has developed to become a key part of the Bank's refinancing business. Satisfactory result expected Against the backdrop of a slight fall in risk provisioning and stable income development, the Bank's Board of Managing Directors expects a satisfactory result for 2004. The year progressed as anticipated in the interim reports and as forecast to shareholders. Consequently, at the balance sheet meeting to be held on 17 March 2005, the Management Board will report to the Supervisory Board that the 2004 financial year was generally positive for Deutsche Hypo and the 2005 financial year has started successfully. In February this year, the Bank was able to issue a further jumbo Pfandbrief for € 1 bn in connection with the good lending business.
