The Deutsche Hypo was founded by Berlin businessmen and bankers as Deutsche Hypothenkenbank (Actien Gesellschaft) back in 1872. Thus it looks back on a long tradition as one of the most renowned German Pfandbrief banks. Its main business area is commercial real-estate financing. The focus lies on direct financing and business ventures with professional real-estate investors. As a part of the NORD\/LB Group, the Deutsche Hypo is in charge of issuing mortgage\u00a0Pfandbriefe. With the Pfandbrief issues the Bank secures a\u00a0long-term and stable funding.<\/p>\n
