Deutsche Hypo finances transformation of Zilveren Toren in Amsterdam

Deutsche Hypo – NORD/LB Real Estate Finance is supporting the revitalisation of one of Amsterdam’s architectural landmarks with a financing package totaling EUR 25 million. The loan is being provided to a private investor for the Zilveren Toren office tower, located directly adjacent to Amsterdam Central Station.

The financing consists of two tranches: the first for refinancing an existing loan and the second as a top up facility following the completion of extensive renovations into a future ready office. These upgrades include significant sustainability measures designed to improve the building’s energy performance.

Originally constructed in the early 1990s, Zilveren Toren is currently undergoing a transformation from a traditional office building into a modern, sustainable, and multifunctional workspace. The property offers approximately 5,000 sqm of office space and is set to become a flagship example of sustainable urban development in the heart of Amsterdam.

‘’As only 20 % of the supply of offices in Amsterdam is currently Paris Proof, we are delighted to accompany the sustainable transformation of this iconic building with our financing. With this financing we are making the addition of another sustainable building in the city of Amsterdam possible. We are very pleased to team-up once again with this investor”, says Martijn Turenhout, Senior Director Deutsche Hypo – NORD/LB Real Estate Finance Amsterdam.
