Deutsche Hypothekenbank is financing a logistics centre in Garbsen near Hanover for BAUM Logistik Immobilien GmbH, a subsidiary of the BAUM Group. The financing volume is in the mid-double-digit millions.
The financed property has an overall area of 34,000 m² plus 65,000 m² of yard and transport space. Its functional, modern distribution concept will meet the current requirements for logistics properties. The site is conveniently located, with a direct link to the A2 motorway offering optimum access for lorries. A long-term lease for the property has been agreed with Amazon Verteilzentrum Krefeld GmbH. It is set to be completed in October 2018.
“After Hamburg, the Hanover logistics region, which includes the surrounding cities of Braunschweig, Wolfsburg and Salzgitter, is the largest logistics location in northern Germany,” says Sabine Barthauer, Member of the Board of Managing Directors of Deutsche Hypo. “As a “green building” that aspires to DGNB gold certification, the property will enhance Hanover as a location for logistics. We are pleased to be able to finance this remarkable property in Garbsen for the BAUM Group.”
